Rooibos Tea

Rooibos tea isn't as popular as green tea but is packed with a healthy dose of antioxidants. The health benefits of tea are amazing. I'm sure you are aware of all the studies done on green tea and how they can prevent dangerous diseases.

Rooibos tea is a very attractive alternative to green tea for those who can't drink caffeine or use sweeteners. Rooibos is naturally 100% caffeine free and is naturally sweetened. Decaffeinated teas still have small amounts of caffeine and even loose some of the health benefits found in tea.

It also has a very different taste to it than green tea it is very light and enjoyable and is just as good hot as it is cold. This tea also mixes very well with fruit flavors making flavored verities a healthy drink for the kids.

Another great thing about rooibos is that it is one of the few teas that you can drink while pregnant and will help remedy some of the common problems associated with pregnancy.

Generally this tea is steeped for 7-10 in water at around 212 degrees for hot tea. If you prefer iced tea just fill a separate cup with ice and pour the tea over it after it is cooled for a few minutes.

I would recommend the organic green rooibos if you like light teas. However, green rooibos has more preserved antioxidants.

Red Rooibos is darker and has more flavor but looses some antioxidants in the processing.
